Event registration

To register please go to the conference registration page and complete a registration form.

Early bird discounts are available until 28 February 2026. Please visit the conference registration page for details on current early bird discount offers.

Registrations close on Monday 1 June 2026 and are not available on site at the Conference. 

Day rates are available on our registration page. This day rate includes morning and afternoon tea and lunch at the conference venue, and a ticket to that day’s social event.  

The registration fee for participants includes admission to conference sessions, morning/afternoon tea, lunch and social functions, depending on the registration type. Please see the registration page for more details.

Any cancellations received four (4) weeks prior of the event’s commencement will be accepted with 75% of the delegate registration fee refunded. Cancellations received within four (4) weeks of the event commencement date will result in all related registration fees being forfeited by the delegate. Cancellations are only applicable in exceptional cases and at the discretion of SCA (Qld). Registration transfers will be accepted up to two (2) business days prior to the Conference commencement at no cost and are subject to the outlined “Delegate Type” criteria. ALL cancellations or transfers must be received in writing to SCA (Qld)’s postal address or via email to events.qld@strata.community 

It is strongly recommended that delegates take out adequate medical, travel and personal insurance before travelling. 

In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, the conference organisers accept no responsibility for the loss of monies incurred by delegates.

Conference accommodation

A limited number of rooms have been reserved on behalf of the conference delegates. Please visit the accommodation page for hotel information and rates. To secure the conference accommodation rates bookings should be made directly with the hotel as soon as possible 

Please contact the hotel directly to amend or cancel your conference accommodation. See the accommodation page for details. 

If you would like to request nights outside of the allotment, please contact the hotel directly.  

Meals and dietary requirements

At the conference morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided to conference delegates. 

Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day at the conference venue.

Please advise us of any special dietary requirements when completing your conference registration or by emailing events.qld@strata.community

Dress code

The main conference dress code is smart casual. Please note that some social events have different requirements – please review the Social Events page for more information.

Transport and parking

  • Bus: Route 705 runs directly to Sea World from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, with services approximately every 20 minutes.  
  • Light Rail (G:link): Take the G:link tram to Southport Station, then transfer to bus route 705 to Sea World.  
  • Train: From Brisbane, take Queensland Rail to Helensvale Station, then transfer to the G:link tram and bus. 
  • For timetables and planning, visit TransLink. https://translink.com.au/  

On-site parking is available for guests at Seaworld Resort, and additional parking can be found along Seaworld Drive and nearby Muriel Henchman Park (check signage for restrictions).  

At the conference

On arrival at the conference venue please check in and collect your name badge at the registration desk located at the entrance to the SeaWorld Conference Centre. 

Please refer to the program on the conference website for presentation session times and room details. The program will also be available on a noticeboard located near the registration desk at the venue.

If you require disability-specific facilities, please notify the conference secretariat by indicating this during the registration process. 

Delegates should be aware that smoking is not allowed in public buildings and many hotels and restaurants throughout Australia, including the conference venue.  

Suitcasing will not be tolerated. Any organisation who is not a sponsor of the event is NOT permitted to openly market products/services during the conference. This does not include conversing, handing out business cards/networking with delegates. It does include handing out any form of marketing material for products/services of the organisation and/or verbally marketing services and/or making appointments to meet with delegates. Clothing branded in any way with identifying organisation logos or text is not permitted to be worn during the conference or its functions. Breaking these terms carries a fine equal to the cost of a major event sponsorship, ejection from the event, and the penalty of suspension from the next event.

Post conference

A post conference survey will be distributed to all conference delegates. 

We will keep you informed of future events via email. If you do not wish to receive updates via email please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Alternatively, you can follow us on our social media channels.  

Conference photos will be available for download on the conference website. 

Sustainability

The conference committee and organisers are committed to supporting sustainability practices and reducing the impact of our events on the environment. Our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of this conference include:  

  • Printed materials are kept to a bare minimum.
  • Attendees are encouraged to use electronic resources such as referring to the conference program via the conference website.
  • Attendee name badges are printed on fully recyclable paper.
  • Sponsors and exhibitors are encouraged to exercise environmental values and practices in their participation.
  • If budget allows, when booking your flight, choose to offset your carbon footprint.
  • Most of the accommodation options offered by the conference organiser are located near the conference venue. Where possible, we encourage you to walk or use public transport between locations.
  • Choose to follow the waste separation instructions at the venue and at your accommodation.
  • Bring a drink bottle to fill at the water stations at the conference venue.
  • Bring a reusable bag to carry your conference materials in.
  • Recycle where possible, such as your lanyard.
